MISSIONS
2008: Bolivia
La Paz Women's Prison
July 26th (Sat) - August 3rd (Sun)
Physicians,
Dentists, PAs, NPs, RNs, Pharmacists, Chiropractors
and support personnel are needed for our third medical/dental
mission to the women's prisons of La Paz, Bolivia. Flying
Doctors of America was the first humanitarian organizations
to bring teams to deliver 'outside' medical/dental care
to these prisons.
In
La Paz, hundreds of children live with their mothers
in the prisons. Flying Doctors will conduct three days
of medical and dental clinics. Pediatrics, Gynecology,
Family Medicine and Dentistry are especially needed.
The
team will stay in a very nice hotel and travel by van
to the prisons. You will have two free days where you
can select either 1) to visit the Island of the Sun
on Lake Titicaca, or 2) go downhill on mountain bikes
on the "world most dangerous road".
Bolivia
is one of the poorest countries in South America. It
has beautiful soaring Andean mountains, a rich Inca
history and a people that are as friendly as they are
hard working. Bolivia is a rewarding location for medical/dental
work.
