MISSIONS 2010: American Samoa
August 5th(Thu) - August 15th(Sun)

Needed: Medical/Dental team

American Samoa is the only US Territory south of the equator.  American Samoa is an unincorporated territory of the United States located in the South Pacific Ocean.  Some have called Samoa the The Treasured Island of the South Pacific', America Samoa is culture and village lifestyles have been preserved for centuries.  This mission is designed to bring medical/dental care to the people of America Samoa – including the outlying islands of Ofu and Ta’u..  Physicians, surgeons, dentists and support personnel needed.  We will be conducting ENT surgeries at the LBJ Hospital and community teams will go to American Samoa islands, which are way off the tourist trail.

Our ‘home base’ will be the quiet, unimposing town and capital, Pago Pago; home of one of the most spectacular harbors in the world.  Note:  the mission begins and ends in Honolulu, HI and your return to the USA normally is a day later. We plan on leaving Pago Pago for Hawaii Sunday August 15th, arriving in Honolulu early Monday the 16th.  Your donation will include your flight from Honolulu to Pago Pago and back (Please see the itinerary for all that is covered).
